Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

Your damn right. We know how big our washers are. They're about this big...

*holds hands slightly wider than 0.622 metres apart*

Do the math, Eurotrash!

-edit- This is based on first Google result for me, that's a pretty eco-friendly width for the U.S. You can buy way larger here.

- edit2- The height for this model is .94 metres. In the U.S., that's 37 inches, or 3 feet plus an inch. If you didn't do the math, the unit is 27.5 inches wide (and 28 inches deep. It's a Kenmore and is top-loading, btw. I'm guessing most washers outside of North America are front loading, here it's probably still half and half for home units).

Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

6 or 7 washing machines - isn't that, like, a small car? Still not metric, and no math required at all!

edit:
erm, no. The picture clearly prooves me wrong (even considering that the small cabrio is probably still larger than what I'd expect). Those must be very small washing machines...

I had no idea "cats on synthesizers in space" was a thing. Just do an image search on GOOG/DDG or Tumblr. It's awesome.

Funnily enough, that's actually how I first found out about it.

Like they say: "Judge a quasi-monopolistic global company by its actions, not by its words".
Taking that step shows so clearly what Google is really about.

I really feel sorry for the guy.  Sometimes the system just plain sucks.

A video from a year ago, waiting for low-income, senior housing to come through.

I rather enjoyed it, but I'm the Huck Finn type anyway; floating down the river of life. Far better than the bed bug ridden homeless shelter. And no one to say when to get up/go to sleep.

Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

I remember reading years ago about a homeless (by choice) piano tuner in London. It looks like he's still going, but now in Texas - no idea if he's still homeless though! http://www.piano-tuning.co.uk

There's a short film about him here: http://englandyourengland.tv/Richard

A new version of httpsEverywhere allows whitelisting http sites. The new version came out in the past few days.
