Because the genie living in them will drink the beer on it's way out if you rub the bottle.

do you mean you still objectively remember the taste from back then? and it doesn't taste like that anymore?

No websites. I objectively remember subjectively thinking that those were exceptional pilsners when I drank them. I haven't had a LB Munchen since, I think Dinkel Aker and Dab probably still taste the same, but I haven't had either recently enough to say for sure. I've been all about IPAs for the last 7 years or so.

Another very good American IPA, retails for $10 a six-pack...

Available in Sweden including a lower alcohol version sold in grocery stores.

In other countries, beer can objectively not be stored in glass bottles for so long. Therefore the tin can is more suitable, because it is opaque.

no, I stick to it.
But I do understand the argument with the UV light.

[ Aside: I have noticed many times that people on computer forums tend to absolutely dismiss arguments that aren't scientifically proven. I find that naïve. ]

I see. Imports I guess; in comparison with some countries (my new home, maybe the USA too) the quality of beer is pretty high on average in Germany.

Rum.
Got a product from the mid-price-range, appears I struck it lucky.
Apparently "double-aged", first in Barbados, then in France by an "award-winning cellar master". I wonder what sort of award? Mr Wet Shirt of France Award?
Anyhow, it's great stuff.
Made from Sugar Cane it's sweet, but also smoky, fruity and aromatic in every way. I'm in some sort of tropical heaven...

I usually just drink Miller Light since you can’t get Rainier in New Mexico.  Also been digging this new Perrier pineapple mango spritzer mixed with whiskey or SoCo.

Straight.
It's amber coloured, not as dark as real dark rum, and very drinkable as is.

Just tried Johnnie Walker King George V. Not my bottle, but a friend of mine bought it for her father as a birthday present, and he offered me a pour. She said she paid $600. It was some smooth stuff, but I could never pay that price for something consumable.

Re: Club Lounge - What are you drinking now? (Alcoholic Version)

^ Sounds yum.
What exactly is "homemade simple syrup"?

Apropos cocktails:
I don't like vodka + orange juice. Or so I thought - until I tried it with freshly squeezed orange juice. And I don't mean the packaged stuff you buy that says "freshly squeezed" on the label, I mean really freshly squeezed.

'Tis the season for mulled wine again.
Here's how I make it:
Put a little water in a kettle, add

  • 1 small thinly sliced organic orange, with the peel still on

  • 2 dried bark strips of cinnamon

  • something like 7 cloves (not much)

  • 1-2 tablespoons of brown cane sugar

Let that simmer for a good while.

Then, fill it up with 1 litre of dry red wine and carefully (don't want to waste the good alcohol which evaporates at 78 degrees Celsius) heat it up again.

This isn't very sweet - add honey to taste.

White (cane) sugar dissolved in hot water at a 1-to-1 ratio (one liter [litre] sugar and one liter water, for instance)...

Re: Club Lounge - What are you drinking now? (Alcoholic Version)

Yes, but you only use one teaspoon per drink. So, I made mine with 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water, and heated it in the microwave oven.
