Maestral: open source Dropbox client

I haven't used this - it's still beta and I don't feel like losing any data - but this Dropbox client seems much lighter than the official app, and those who enjoy living dangerously might want to have a look: https://github.com/SamSchott/maestral-dropbox

Re: Maestral: open source Dropbox client

I just gave it a try and am very satisfied!

it is very fast and definitely lighter than the usual client:

naik@GerryTSSD[~]$ sudo pmap 1915
[sudo] Passwort für naik:
1915: /usr/local/bin/python3 /usr/local/bin/maestral start -c maestral --foreground

[...]

 total 966280K

and my data seems to be save so far due to a fancy gimmick (or bug?)
maestral created another folder called Dropbox(maestral) inside my dropbox folder which it uses for synching. In that way i have a backup of all content of my dropbox on my local harddrive from the Moment when i first launched it.

The only downside for me is that it uses pyqt5 for theming which means I couldn`t get it to use a dark theme so far (any help on this would be highly apriciated).
Anyways I would recommend it so far.
Thanks for the hint!
