Re: Drop Chrome + Chromium from x-www-browser-pipemenu

I've been using Firefox for some days now and have run across another annoyance.  In chromium and just about every other Linux app, middle click pastes from primary.  In Firefox, it seems to typically paste something else (either clipboard or most recent URL, I'm not quite sure).  I found a nice post with an imperfect workaround (http://shallowsky.com/blog/linux/cmdlin … refox.html) but pretty unsatisfactory in comparison to simply using middle-click.  Are there any better workarounds?

Does it work as you want if you disable the middle click to paste "feature" in Firefox?

Type about:config in the address bar and change the middlemouse.paste preference to "false".

Sadly no - disabling that, the middle button does nothing at all.
