These pieces of technology are dangerous!

i believe that.
my ear and that whole side of my head gets hot when i have a long phone conversation.
cell phone radiation used to be a serious topic a decade (and more) ago, but now everybody seems to have forgotten about it, probably because no-one could imagine being without one...

Tell that to the 10 WiFi networks and WiFi printers I see from my bedroom…

Those kitchen utensils can be really dangerous - they should have adequate labelling.

You can see the spoon and remove it from the cup. Radio waves are harder to get rid of.

@Ohnonot, yes, it's hard to give up the cell phones. I remember measuring radiation in the lab some two decades ago. Nokia had the most radiation. My phone then Sony CMD C-10 had much less. Phones didn't have wireless or Bluetooth back then. Feeling pain is not a good indicator. Nerves can't handle that much radiation.

The last four days I was helping my brother with mounting of iconostasis in a small town's church. Brother made it out of stone, so it will stay there for long, long time.nEhPD3wm0lNln6mm

NASA may have some of that leftover from the Apollo program. May let you have some of it and a jar of Tang for a small fee.

Today I got a bruise on my leg when I had a bicycle accident. Fortunately, my bike automagically dispenses peanut butter over the wound-area, so I'm all good now.

Yes, all electronic devices produce radiation. It's called infrared. Fill a hotwater bottle with 30 ℃ water and keep it next to your ear for 10 minutes. Do you feel the heat?

Good god glasses glasses  ... everything emits radiation, and even more, every solid object changes (and in this case most probably reduces) heat transfer around ear/head.

Simple experiment: instead of mobile phone take an ordinary wooden plank, and put it on ear for some time and hold it with your hand. Your whole side of head will gets 'hot'. (Among other things, your hand also heats your head, as well.)

Thinfoil alert: wood emits extra dangerous and cancerous radiation. Ban all the wood from use! Baaaaaaawwwwwwww  monkey  monkey  monkey

^ Too late. Someone already thought of that. Emperor Dušan did that to thieves in 13th century. The hand that steals was removed.

Any radiation within the limits should be fine. There is a slight gama radiation everywhere from space, ground, nuclear tests, powerplant failures, depleted uranium  ammunition... Just don't walk any near the last two.
The question is how much time talking on the cellphone is actually safe and should everyone be carrying cellphones in pockets with WiFi and Bluetooth on.

Talking is not that dangerous, there are other functions in cell phones that cause damage in our brains. Not because of weak radiation, but because they change our behaviour.

I received a new work phone this week, and immediately it caused high blood pressure. (It's an iPhone.)

Agree, there is psychological factor as well.
Never experienced iPhone, or high blood pressure though :-D

^ Cancer rates are higher in flight attendants because, among other potential factors, they're exposed to high levels of cosmic ionizing radiation at altitude. 50% higher rates of breast cancer. IIRC, the dangers of cellphone radiation was disproven, but I may be wrong about that.

I struggle keeping patient and polite when I discuss with parents who are worried about wifi antennas in classroom but at the same time don't protect their children against ultraviolet radiation on sunny days. And who say that they or their kids have never needed physics for anything.

Not only blood pressure, but during the very first hour using it, it evoked unstable, impulsive behavior as well.

I'm only using it, but yes, I could imagine better use for its price. There are other, more indispensable tools that are not quite state-of-the-art. I would have been content with a 100 euro Android phone to replace that old sturdy Nokia dumb-phone that was in use before.
