Beck is on my Tw list. There is a massive ad for his tour. On Rolling Stone interview he talked about Clapton and Page. No mercy, What about Roy Buchanan was my question.
Red is a melancholic album.

Wouldn't mind seeing Clapton and Page but had to make a choice of the three would be Beck! Roy Buchanan, a good point, and an unfortunate death.

Yeah, it is, should have saved it for a gloomy day. Packing to move again and needed some background tunes!

By the way, have always thought Zappa was in his own league, no comparison and totally a genius of sound!

Listening to some old Beck today, Truth and Beck-Ola from my own collection. Like the raw and gutsy sound! : )

To me, Zappa was removed from everything else I'd listening to, had really no label other than he was progressive and innovative.

True. Roy was killed. Although there was a rumour he committed suicide

No label, nor flag. Zappa was not good for society.

Thx. It means you replaced the streaming for downloading. For me 8 out 10 streaming are due to your tips;)

^ No, not on YT. I use Pithos and Pandora, Pithos removes the free-account ads in the US (and Australia and NZ, I think). So, random tracks from my radio QuickMix.

Have somewhere about 120gb of CD music on one of my machines, started about 2 years ago getting them all onto a drive, many haven't had the chance to listen to but once.

lamarca wrote:

Beck with Rod Stewart on vocals was sort of raw and still enjoy listening. By the middle 1970's Beck had moved onto much more sophisticated music and the talent was there.

First thought I had satellite and to copper, wrong because the dish is still gutted. Hardwired cable internet getting near 350mb down and close to 28mb up.

Due to the short time interval we install Linux, I don't preserve my stuffs (music, pics). Only the essential stuffs, like tint, conky, bashrc ... Backup my music lib is history, takes a long time, Poor HD, the number of I/O is high. Some rarities, less than 5Gb, I still have in a safe place.

Exactly what happens to me

zephyr wrote:

Raw! Stewart vocals seems to be highly inspired by Sam Cooke, mainly on the 'raw' years.

Having speed up to 200mb is cheaper for the ISP's. It's due to infrastructure. Dial up is slow and expensive.
