@lamarca, I am a huge, huge Zappa fan. But I want to give it up for Terry Kath, who died far to young.

Nature of the beast is to be intrusive, avoiding and not using is the only answer.

Severe cold affects mine too, avoid taking long walks when it's really cold out!

Brian Eno was a great musician back in the 70's when playing for Roxy Music which was something I like at the time, didn't really realize he became the powerhouse he is now. He certainly has carved out a career with some of the best-talented musicians. Interesting life!

Just talking about the music, not the man, some of the most innovative guitar playing I've heard, no matter how silly the song.

Yes 50 50 was OK but a bit hyper for my tastes. My favourite Zappa guitar has always been at the end of Holiday in Berlin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1iVLEELtqE
It's haunted me all these years.

Zappa criticism made him persona no grata:) The today Robert Zimmerman denied every song he composed. Belew was hilarious playing the harmonica.

so you do have an android phone. and of course you're aware that that's not only a google product, but also keeps connecting to google servers constantly and undetectably.

and in your browser (your www experience) you can't really avoid it completely. i use the noscript and requestpolicy addons, and i tell you there's so many requests to google servers all the time, nobody can avoid that completely.
also, do you have "Block reported sites, forgeries etc. (malware, phishing)" enabled? that's a list of servers updated by google.
and so on...
don't get me wrong, it's a good thing to minimize google's impacts. when it falls, we'll be ahead of our time. but don't say "none at all".

android, yes:( it makes part of gøøgle monopoly.
indeed. netstat displays the requests are permanent.its huge amount of them in a short time interval. not keen on addons (only no coin), i'll have a look at those you mentioned.

Beck is on my Tw list. There is a massive ad for his tour. On Rolling Stone interview he talked about Clapton and Page. No mercy, What about Roy Buchanan was my question.
Red is a melancholic album.

Wouldn't mind seeing Clapton and Page but had to make a choice of the three would be Beck! Roy Buchanan, a good point, and an unfortunate death.

Yeah, it is, should have saved it for a gloomy day. Packing to move again and needed some background tunes!

By the way, have always thought Zappa was in his own league, no comparison and totally a genius of sound!

Listening to some old Beck today, Truth and Beck-Ola from my own collection. Like the raw and gutsy sound! : )
