Re: What are you listening to right now?

500+500 watts - you could use that on a stage!
Except PA systems seem to be rated differently from home audio - you'd probably have destroyed that Nakamichi using it with a band. I guess it's the difference between occasional peaks and sustained output.

Nakamichi used to be considered the best cassette decks, though expensive

Never even heard of Nakamichi before going to the Pacific in 1983, Navy base exchange once a year hosted most multimedia electronic companies along with tech reps inside a sizeable showroom sale. My best estimation saved and paid about $.40 on the US dollar for what the price would have been stateside. Came very close to buying the new line of Sansui, which had impressive specs as well!

It was a hell of a system until the amp blew and wasn't due to cranking it and entertaining the neighborhood.

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I wish I could share this with you all on my big Yamaha amp playing the half speed master vinyl LP, but I guess youtube will have to suffice.

One of my favorite albums. Crime of the Century.

I Can't Sleep — The La's

^ That's recorded live and gives some idea as to why Lee Mavers disliked the album version: so much more energy and cohesion in this one cool
