It's been a while, wanted to say hello y'all!.

This post might remind you who I am.

Re: I'm Back!

Thanks everyone. I've new stories and adventures to share. Spent the summer in Pike's Peak Natl. Forest. Built a horse barn in Macon GA.

Right now I'm looking for suggestions on an image gallery for my website. Something not to difficult to set up. Ideas?

Re: I'm Back!

It's always impressive to see people stick around in online communities for a long time.

^ Static or dynamic grid, or slider, browser-side (JS) or server-side + AJAX? Depending on how you make your site, if you're using something that supports templates (Jinja, ERuby), you could just pass in the image list as a list and expand a static site template into a gallery.

I think Juicebox might do nicely. Straight HTML 5.

Thanks, that looks good. Unfortunately, I'm limited to Winblows or Android at the present time.

Currently using a dual boot tablet; Winblows/Android 7.1 as it travels well, packs well. I have not found a distro that works well for tablets, if someone knows of one...

Re: I'm Back!

I modified Bunsenlabs Helium to run as a sort of tablet mode. GTK2 is not really that tablet friendly. I would like to see some kind of gesture support but have not yet had time to look into it. I run this on a Surface Pro IV running in Virtualbox. Basically, I ditched conky and went with a highly modified tint2. The top tint2 is going to be a series of executors that are intended to replace the information supplied by conkies. That part is still a work in progress. The left tint2 has a series of program launchers on the bottom and the taskbar toward the top. As you can tell from the screenshot, the left tint2 strut policy allows it to remain visible at all times unless I manually drag a window over it. I set this entire thing up using tint2conf. I use Onboard as the on-screen keyboard. However, this is still a hybrid build, much like Windows 10 is on the Surface Pro IV, lol.

Here is a screenshot of what I have so far:

Nice. Never ceases to amaze me, the creativity of the human mind.

I may be staying at the Mission for a while; if I do, I'll set up a conventional box and put Deuterium on it.

i don't think there's a distro for tablets in general; depends a little.
maybe spending a little money on an ARM laptop is an alternative?
or one of those cute eeepc's or acer aspire one netbooks? i have the latter, i took it across europe in a backpack last summer and no problem. it's sturdy.

Juicebox is stupid easy. I'll have to play with it some more. Like changing font size, color.

Yes, it's a KLR650; and heavily modified. Bored out with a super light weight forged piston; upgraded internal balance sprockets so it's got more power and runs smoother. Upgraded suspension front and rear; Cogen springs, DDC and shock. Seat reduced by 1/3 and the rear completely rebuilt.

Re: I'm Back!

My last visit was 2015 some time but have returned to the fold. Tried a few other OS but BL installed on my old HP dv5000 without a problem, and had all the drivers. That old dv5000 laptop came with win XP on it.
