Re: October 2017 Screenshot Thread

I decided to let openbsd have my entire hd on the laptop.

Bit of a steep learning curve, very manual type of system apart from some helpful programs in the repositories made by clever devs. Tint2 will be very usefull with this system imo.

Cheers and ditto.

Usb wired connection working but i dont think the broadcom wifi is going to work under openbsd, ifconfig shows no wlan.
Using the Gallium video driver which i think is Mesa / Nouveau but no support for nvidia proprietry drivers. Seems a bit laggy, there must be something i need to tweak. It may be a secure system and simple in some ways but i dont think it is suited to my laptop. Xfce using more ram than i would like.

NVIDIA is right out with OpenBSD though, AMD (Ryzen!) & Intel are the way to go with that OS.

fw_update =

$ doas fw_update
uvideo-firmware-1.2p2: ok
vmm-firmware-1.10.2p4: ok

Nice, and welcome to the forums.

You have a link for that moutain range wallpaper?

fluxbox + polybar -

Wallpaper is wild sea oats on the dunes at Myrtle Beach. Took some pictures in between ocean fishing.

Don't remember where I got it from, but I actually found it on Google. I think it's the very same resolution. Here:
