Hello again

Hello

I am a former crunchbanger. I loved that distro so much I made it my daily driver. Ever since, I continued having fun with Linux by learning a lot of news things and occasionally breaking a few. Over the years I got really comfortable that I started to use it as my dev machine and started more and more projects on it.

When I bought a used X220 last year, I immediately installed Bunsenlabs and was not really surprised by lightweight and efficient things are. I ran Crunchbang on an 8 year old Dell Vostro, so I kind of expected it to be a great match.

This year I started working on my first, for the lack of a better term on the tip of my tongue, non .NET project completely on this box. I still have a lot to learn and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, but I am comfortable enough where I am and it became possible for me only due to the great efforts of Philip, Crunchbang community and now the Bunsenlabs community.

.NET Core and MSSQL have come/are coming to Linux too, so now you can have your .NET and eat it too!

Yes, I am aware of this, but I am waiting for 2.0 to hit production as it stabilizes a lot of things. Actually, Stretch and Buster have trouble with dotnet cli at the moment, so I am really hoping to wait a bit more.

I am developing web apps with Django since I wanted to do this forever.  smile
