Re: this forum with #! skin

Probably a stylish rule will fix it. (I'm on the same skin)

Re: this forum with #! skin

Neither Crunchbang or CrunchbangTwoion have the search button nor the ' | Rules | ' section:

Index | User list | Profile | PM | Logout

All other themes have a 'Rules' and 'Search'  section in the menu, no Search button however:

    Index | User list | Rules | Search | Profile | PM | Logout

Wouldn't a redundant Search button be redundant?  Or are you referring to something like the custom Google search feature we had at the #! forum?

Re: this forum with #! skin

If you are referring to John's bash script, I think damo already posted that but not what I meant.

I think what brontosaurusrex is talking about is the "Search" function between | Rules | (also not on the two Crunchbang themes here) and | Profile | ... that was a magnifying glass in the upper left of the Crunchbang pages.

Re: this forum with #! skin

^ That magnifying glass on the #! forums was the Google search I was referring to; the drop-down search field used Google and produced different search results from the forum's internal search.

OH -  ops  OOPS! ops   I  put my foot in it again ... so sorry.
I'll take my toys and go home now ... sad

Guess he wants the "internal" search - much better.

Re: this forum with #! skin

That |Search| item in the top menu can be restored - in Firefox/Iceweasel anyway - with a custom rule in a stylish stylesheet. See here: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic.php?id=52
Install the stylish addon and add this bit of code to one of twoion's preprepared stylesheets (I used Configurable fonts), or write your own from scratch:

#navsearch,#navrules { display:inline !important; }

As for the #! top right search button, that was a javascript thing that called a custom Google search and I don't think it's been implemented here at all.
