Re: BunsenLabs Debian Repository

@H_B

From my previous link (for the last time):

Debian Package Management wrote:

Update ("aptitude update" or "apt-get update"):

    Fetch archive metadata from remote archive

    Reconstruct and update local metadata for use by APT

I think some of the metadata is in the apt cache binfiles, but someone might correct me.

Do you read the documentation?

BTW Very little of this stuff sticks in my brain - I'm always having to RTFM and use cheat-sheets  monkey

Hehe, cheater.   And You know, I've been putting it off, but I think I'm going to drop the money and actually buy a physical copy of the Debian Admin Book... I know the money will go to a good cause, plus, I do better retaining info and actually digging into the content when I have a physical book.  I donated 11 US dollars to the Debian foundation, but that doesn't seem like much so I think I'll show my support with the actual hard copy of the book.

Re: BunsenLabs Debian Repository

You can now opt out of getting redirected to asia.pkg.bunsenlabs.org if you're located in Australia, Oceania, or Asia.

This can make sense if your ISP's route to Europe is faster than to Singapore.

Read how to here.
