Re: What are you listening to right now?

Yes, Black Uhuru was right up there with The Police and King Crimson (Discipline) in the early eighties for me. The 2 live club shows I saw in Boston at that time didn't hurt, either.

My favorite after Dub Factor is Brutal Dub (1986? ish?) Title track, vocal and then dub, Brutal/Brutal Dub...

The last 5 minutes of that is as good as anything I've heard recorded.

It's about time someone makes a song about it. :-)

There was a universal file viewer a puppy linux user made with bash and gtk dialog as a user interface. I belive the name was mmview.
It suported a lot of types and displayed a ton of info and operations on selected file.
Too bad gtkdialog is unmaintained now and too bad yad is very limited (so far) to be able to achieve the same.

I don't get it.
This functionality is available on GTK3's filechooser (and has been for a long time).
The issue above is from 2004 when GNOME was still firmly based on GTK2.

I posted a track from Black Midi's new album a while back. The album, Cavalcade, is now out and it's awesome: https://bmblackmidi.bandcamp.com/

I still remember when you posted about them the first time.
Very good stuff then, very good now. Thanks.

Icon view with thumbnails and preview pane are two different concepts. Those icons are all the same in a list view.
