Re: BunsenLabs film thread

Yeah, way more varied. It starts off surreal and funny and then not so much. Unforgiven is stark through and through except for some brief moments. I actually prefer Pale Rider (1985) to Unforgiven, it has some levity and heartwarming moments throughout.

But this, this is epic. Netfilx, so I lose almost nothing my watching it on computer monitor.

What the hell did I just watch? It just cut off, is that just Part 1? Holy hell, that was the nest western I've ever seen.

Re: BunsenLabs film thread

On to Miller's Crossing, an amazing film. Is there a bad actor in it? I prefer the Coen's when they don't go full camp, I think they do that quite badly.

Albert Finney, incredible in everything he does. A Good Year (2006), directed by Ridley Scott. What's the fairly recent one where has dementia? I can't find it.

Albert Finney in The Dresser (1983)...

Yeah, Miller's Crossing.  Great performances, Finney, Gabriel Byrne, Buscemi, Marcia Gay-Harden...   Turturro.  One of Jon Polito's best roles.  The ending is like the end of the 3rd Man (Welles).  Great script.

Holy Moley, the first part is the best western since , and way better than Unforgiven (1992).

slightly different tone though

Significantly so.
