Ok, so Openshot isn't that hard but it's not an easy first hour. and exporting this 6 minute video with HQ audio on my hardware will take at least a few hours. It's a good music video, though.

^ Thanks for asking. I'm more fortunate than most. Lost power for about 12 hours early on and water pressure was too low to bathe for 4 days. Now waiting to see what my gas bill is, some have been hit with bills of thousands of dollars because of the "free market" system we have in Taxes. Others have it much worse, burning their furniture to keep warm. Food store shelves are mostly empty as people panic buy.

If this is the worst that happens to me I'll have it made.

edit: the free market system that is a root cause of the problem. There is no profit incentive to prepare for a disaster; especially when the public will pick up the tab for repairs.

This is beautiful, I cried through most of it on first listen just now. I know John Legend is super talented, I just am not a fan of what he produces, or what I've heard of that, but he sings the hell out of this song...

Just download the mp4, then ffmpeg can pull an mp3 out of it with one line.
You might want to tweak it for bitrate etc (see man ffmpeg, or web search) but it's basically simple:

ffmpeg -i something.mp4 -vn something.mp3

I exported this from OpenShot at medium quality to save time and reduce file size. I created the mp3 to import into OpenShot with youtube-dl and audacity. A quick tutorial...

Uninstall the Debian youtube-dl package if installed...

sudo apt purge youtube-dl

Install youtube-dl from github...

sudo curl -L https://yt-dl.org/downloads/latest/youtube-dl -o /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

Grab a YouTube URL, here's that track at an acceptable bitrate...
