Apocalypse now.
Hah, I re-watched that last year. Also, at the risk of sounding material, I figured I'd be waking up to the smell of the napalm in the morning real soon with how the world's going and all, so decided I might as well look the part (not the original unfortunately, but a 2020 re-issue). Was my "pandemic purchase" alongside nihilistic face masks.
On topic; not sure if anime counts on this thread, but I just finished Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! (roughly translated to "Keep your hands off the video research club!"). I don't watch much anime these days (because most of them are overly insular otaku-pandering crap), but this was a joy to watch. Atypical, wacky, occasionally satirical bordering on meta, and wonderfully animated. I will confess that I'm a bit of a fan of the studio that made it (some of the director's older works like Kemonozume and Kaiba are stuff of legend), but this is the kind of series I'd recommend anyone, even to people who usually dislike anime.

Hmm, insights from a fundamentalist Christian who claims to have been (amongst other things) a Satanist, a Freemason, a member of the Illuminati, and a vampire?

Is it not more possible he just tries to sell himself with lablels that sticks out?

Lol:) Did a bid to replace some steps among other things on a lodge building. Nice people all around, and do good work in the area, but yeah, gotta have a belief in God to join.
Funny enough, I had heard that as a mason, I was automatically a member, but no. I told them I knew all sorts of groovy weird math stuff about the pyramids and the like but they just stared at me:)
My wife, who works hand in hand with me was told she couldn't be a member either, as no girls allowed.
So two strikes . . or is that three? Ha!
The vampire people ... well. Rather disturbing in a sad sort of way.

Well it's not like they are a club of batmen.
There was not enough time to see all of it but many of his views are nonsence.
I'm not interested in adopting his views, just keeping an open mind
and trying to see how cults work through my own perspective.
To see things outside of the box.
He walked on all sides, and his perspective is interesting to me.
He moves from one box to another, so to say, and compares the boxes he has visited.
And his views evolve as he goes from one box to the next.
Kind of like a computer program.
But despite gaining experiance he is still unable to see the same pattern in all of the boxes.
All the cults are similar in some ways, they build temples and brainwash followers to follow their paths.
Those horrible oaths are every member has to make have a purpose.
It's purpose is fear. Fear is a powerful tool of submission.
Even Roman Catholic Church incorporated heaven and hell into their belief system.
The idea was likely borrowed from some other religions or cults like all the religions did.
It scares the followers to not end up "burning in the ethernal flames of hell".
Submission through fear. Reward and punishment.

I prefer to just hide in the mountains. When that doesn't work I'll just bend over and take it. I would fight back but I'm not an armed country, just have enough to stop an intruder or kill a deer or something if need be, us being hungry.

Logically this person doesn't have a wikipedia page, but is quoted in a few others, most notably:
