I'm finishing up Dub U Crazy, Ep8 now, I'm going to end the show with one of these tracks (listening to Track 1 as I type). Thanks for the recommendation, GS. I'm listening to Mind Control now, I think that's going to be my pick.

This could have gone in "Watching now", but it fits better here. Glenn Gould speaking about Beethoven in the most intellectual terms, and then performing "The Tempest". IMO, a must watch and hear...

Again IMO, Gould is the greatest interpreter of German piano music who ever lived. His phrasing, his timing, the equality of his left hand to his right, his etherealness, the way he touches the keyboard and the clarity of what he thinks the composer is trying to present. The man was one hell of a musician.

Ep8?? I must've missed Ep7 then. Need to look back.

Judging based on the overall vibe your show put out, I would've thought you'd use the first track earlier on or midway through your set. Also out of curiosity; you mentioned doing the show in your own time for no pay, but do you at least get some sort of allowance for buying the music aired on your show, or is it a "from your own collection" agreement?

Episode 7 of Dub U Crazy, with your host Kat Skinner. The final version that aired the last two Sundays at 9PM/21:00 EDT on 96.3 FM locally and online at ohmradio963.org
I'm late uploading it to SoundCloud, I've been a bit busy with work. Anyway, it's the best announcing I've done to date and the playlist is really solid...

I'm hoping to finish Ep8 tomorrow so it can air the next two Sundays.

Two Steps From Hell are making neoclassical filmy music. I like it, great to listen to while working during the day. Some of the tracks are pretty epic but structurally/from a composition perspective nothing extraordinary, it's just the proven and true recipies from classical and neoclassical music woven into one, then some crossovers here and there, but well done overall and pleasant. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O … BNaIMWrT48

I have been listening to several of the past masters of jazz and blues tenor saxophone. Joe Henderson, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, etc.
The libraries of Spotify are a vast treasure. You can conceive almost any musical theme, and explore it in depth.
PS - 8bit, my oldest son introduced me to Black Pumas a few weeks ago. Excellent!

@ratcheer, add Wayne Shorter to that list. Here on soprano sax with Joni Mitchell from the '94 album, Mood Indigo, Sunny Sunday. A perfect song...

Jan Garbarek should get a mention. Here with Keith Jarrett, recorded in 1977 and released in '98, My Song...
