I always crack a smile when I see some of the capabilities of a good linux system - like the 13 days of uptime @twoion is pulling off according to that screenshot smile

I've been using Cinnamon lately - its against my generally minimalist tendencies, but I really love the "show all windows" and "show all workspaces" functionality. It looks amazing and I find it useful for my workflow.

Funny, exactly the same stuff we had with compiz and GNOME 2 back in 2007. Even looks very much alike...

^ I have to admit I do like Cinnamon 2.8 and I loved Gnome 2 with Compiz combo back when.

@Snap... no, I guess!

It's my M.O. I find a setup and icon theme I like, get the themes to where I can just change a few hex-codes and the wallpaper, and spam the crap out of it.

Listening to an Alan Watts lecture and converting said lecture to MP3 to put on my phone. (using ffmpeg -i in the terminal window that is minimized).

@Temetka,

I read somewhere shades of blue are among the best colors for concentration and the easiest on the eyes.

Nice scrot smile

Which, apart from the aesthetics, is what I would like to see down the line for BL. Once it is established for itself, and not as a successor to #!, I'd like to think we could get away from the greyscale defaults wink

Yeah, I've read that as well. I don't exactly recall where, but I do recall reading it.

I work in IT. As such I am looking at screens literally all day long, every day. Laptop screens, dekstop screens, tablets, phones, etc.

My eyes look forward to sitting down in front of BL and enjoying the non-harsh color scheme. Sometimes at the end of the workday I have to close my eyes for a few minutes because they literally burn. Having the color combo that I do in the scrots I posted, it's very relaxing for my eyes. Coupled with Redshift, it's been very nice. So if were taking votes, I'd leave the default colors alone and just include more GTK themes and icon sets.

Show some more scrots in action from that distro later, well, 200+MB size that's what i love to see in a half completed distro.

I started Linux fun with Cinnamon, but made even more fun in #crunchbang #bunsenlabs community.
After XFCE, Cinnamon It would be my final solution if i had stick on (DE).
