Woo-hoo!
Happy New Year!
(I hope my standalone flashplayer will continue working though)

I miss Flash player. They are just distilled nostalgia. This is why I want to make my Eee PC, my DS lite, my Nokia XpressMusic 5630, and another Sony-Ericsson phone from ages ago survive as long as possible. The Eee PC I got around to installing BL only recently.

Think you can still get the Flash debugger that can allow you to play Flash content such as games, plus there's opensource projects to preserve these flash games.

Best to grab these now before Adobe eventually takes these apps down too. Note that these apps most likely won't be maintained so they could break down the road.

The AUR package I'm using get's the source from here though.
And if it's in Debian repos, I'm sure they archive it too.

But the Flash player is extremely dangerous to use on the open internet - be sure only to use these archived apps for opening local files!

Exactly and that can't be said better enough. Download the flash game or video to your system FIRST then open it in the debugger/player. In addition, be careful where you get these files from as some sketchy sites may share flash archives that are malicious and can be a risk to your system!
Also for any of you who also use Windows, scan the files first with your favorite antivirus app before you open them. You been warned

Oh my god, yes! I never would've even consideed the option, I only use it rarely for a few local files.
But IIRC it denies outgoing network connections by default.
