Children are highly over rated. So glad I don't have any, that I know of. Last thing this planet needs is another human. Personal opinion, not a judgement of any one.

Well, with most meatbags being locked inside the last couple of months with nothing better to do, planet's chances aren't looking so good.

Holy crap, that snide comment of mine could be interpreted as racist as can be. I'll see myself out without cheer or a pic...

Ha, I thought this might end up being a risky link!

We are The Borg. Resistance is futile, prepare to be assimilated. '90s Star Trek had everything figured out, including attractive decorative plants. Gave the whole show a Marriott Hotel vibe.

Wait, we're a fascist overthrow of the current system? As an anarchist, I only slightly condone this.

Re: Cheery Pic of the Day

All right, all right... Cheery. How about a semi-camouflaged derp?

20200207-140611.jpg

-edit- This pic is the epitome of upper Charleston. Upper right,  faux-brick rowhouse, upper center and middle right, magnolia bushes. Right-center, Spanish moss. Center right, sandbags in case of flooding. Upper left, a soon-to-be-reborn banana tree. Bonus, Pigeon The Cat smirking, and snuggling said "dead" banana tree.

-edit- She's snuggling the tree back to life, the price is that the magnolia bush is assimilating her into The Borg. Not cheery at all, this is a tragic picture. When The Borg gets cat powers it's unstoppable, I saw it in a fan flick somewhere. Resistance is Furtile. Purrrtile? Something tile. Meow.

The Spanish moss is also being assimilated, as is the house itself. Beware the Magnolia bush, for it is part of The Collective. See The Masters Tournament for proof.

Wow, you turned my cheery and proud photo into something depressing.

Only if you make it so. Someone's opinion is just that; just someone's opinion. Humans need to wake up to the fact that our numbers are killing this planet. My remark was based on Martin's post:

Martin wrote:

My comment had nothing to do with your baby's development, which is what your photo was about. Your baby looks quite darling. I wish you'd post a bigger version of your avatar. That face looking up at you speaks volumes.

My bad. I'll do better.

But just to poke the bear, 'cause I'm good at that, should the thread be free of all comment or should only positive comments allowed?

Comment on the pics is fine, but the whole point of the thread is to take the mind off the doom and gloom in the world atm.

Re: Cheery Pic of the Day

Yeah, but I derailed that when some idiots vandalized Charleston. I'm still not over it, I had a vision of my cat's brain being drained by a twig in my last pic. I'm not well. tongue

We'll get it on track eventually.

And, yes, @nore's "Cherry pic" appears to be a pic of some cheery cherry blossoms.

So, all better now! big_smile

Please, no. If we can't communicate honestly in an anonymous and obscure internet forum, what chance do we have IRL? Let it all out, and let the reactions effect you.

cherry pick of the day.
That search result was so unexpected, I had to post it as is. Certainly gave me a cheery smile. (I was expecting pictures of imaginery & happy farmer's wives picking cherries, or migrant workers...)

Can't we have ONE place here just for cheeriness? Someone start a thread for "Miserable Item for the Day".

^ Sorry, I don’t do denial.

... and that honestly made me laugh, and laughter equals joy, does it not? Sure, I do the evil cackling laugh as well, but pics that trigger that would be much, much bleaker.

Okay fine. Here’s a pic of me burying my head in the sand/snow after succumbing to peer pressure.
