jgmenu is the default menu for Lithium, and its configuration is very different from the Openbox menu.xml. So perhaps some HowTos might be useful ...

Is there a way to create color gradients like in openbox`s something.color + something.colotTo system?
I don't think so but it would be great!

@malm will know, but this is a workaround I just found using a @icon widget with a 1024x1024 "icon", set to the same size as the menu.
EDIT: but it causes problems for widget actions, and the submenus are the config colours
