Paper planner using a Moleskine

Note:  Don't attempt to access the site with Qupzilla v1.8.9.  It will crash and bring your machine to the login prompt.

Note 2:  I do not glue pages together as AK suggests, which gives me more usable pages.  I don't care that I can see faint writing from the previous page.  I use PostIt report tabs instead of book/page darts.  I've also added my own special touches and configuration to the planner.

Why not the Wright Brothers flyer? devil

I can think of several, actually.  For one thing, the Wright Flyer was an experimental prototype, whereas the Piper Cub was fairly cheap (for an airplane) and mass-produced (and therefore better suited as an "austerity" avatar).  For another, the Wright Flyer doesn't contain a stealthy reference to the Conky thread (Grasshopper). wink

Can't find a nice image that I can make a transparent background from though.  sad

I was also thinking of the Boeing AH-65 Attack Helicopter (Concept Art) that I have - as seen above.

Besides, the avatar that falldown made for me has become 'me' , tweaked a little over the years but you know, it's like a signature.  smile

@pvsage - I see you added a response while I was doing this (making avatars included)

so true, so true ... and on half a dozen forums to boot!

@johnraff However outdated that might be, sharing that kind of info publicly is still a good way to get yourself on some kind of watch list.

A carefully engineered, orchestrated and slow social acclimation to the eventuality of having cameras follow our every move (even privately). The tracking suppositories are next but I'm not bending over for anyone.

George Orwell was ahead of his time.  No, it will not be suppositories, it will be implanted microchips.  The technology already exists, the size of a grain of rice, and is currently used in animals to track them.

Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

So I'm not sure how many of you will actually find this useful or interesting, but being into the practical side of radio, and how the cell network is laid out and works, I found this pretty cool.
AMT Tower Company

To get all of the location and search features you'll have to register (free and no spam from what I could tell so far) for an account, but once you have one you can search over the US for any cell tower location that's owned by AMT. So those singular cell towers we see along the highways, and even some rooftop, and water tower antenna sites are owned by private companies... American Tower is just one..there's also Crown Castle Towers, and apparently AT&T owns there own sub division that owns singular towers.

Here's a link to an application step by step to getting your own antenna access to something like a rooftop tower:

http://www.americantower.com/Assets/upl … ooftop.pdf

Again nothing "useful" if you're not in the market, but just fun and interesting if you're into finding out who owns what, and how the idea of our cell totems are owned and operated.

nice.
i concur with the writer that it doesn't take too long to do it by hand (esp. when you think that you use it for a whole year after that) i've made (less ambitious) planners myself. yep, still using paper.

I wonder if I can port it to OpenBSD...

EDIT:

You need to have a recent nvidia-driver with LINUX compatibality support or an AMD graphics card that is supported by FreeBSD.

Nope.

Does this mean YouTube posts are no longer welcome on the "random internet" thread? https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic.php?id=628

Is there some subtle usage distinction?

This was originally posted in the BL reviews thread. Since there is no option to directly move a post to another topic, I've just split it as I am unsure what gets merged with what when I'm merging two threads.
