And not so much Robot Chicken as early 80's animatronics. I kept thinking of the orginal Terminator eyeball surgery scene with the animatronic Ahnold head (1:20)...

20 minutes left and I don't want it to end. German Kirk is, of course, oh so disciplined and that makes him (IMO) infinitely more likeable (<-- proper spelling, the Brits have it right on this one. And on grey, of course, for they are a colorless, humorless people in their apartments that they have to take the elevator to get to).

-edit- You're move, damo. tongue

Ah, and now the film is Groundhog Day. Let's hope for a BIG FINISH.

@hhh:  I take it you're familiar with the New Voyages series?

The animation in "Der Anfang vom Ende" actually looks more like Thunderbirds to me, only without the strings.

I have just noticed that sid now has a signed kernel image available:

The kernel image and modules are signed for use with Secure Boot.

Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

Another amazing time-lapse at bing.com today (only a few hours left), sunset over Dartmoor Nat. Park in Devon, England.

@Sector11, some bad-ass jets and their USD $400,000 helmets...
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/us-air … smsnnews11

With a price tag of nearly $400 billion for a total of 2,443 F-35 aircraft -- most destined for the Air Force -- the plane, built by Lockheed Martin, is the most expensive in history.

2,443 aircraft? Sure you don't want to order a couple more and we'll call it an even $400 billion?

The unit cost for the F-22 was ~$150million when the production line was closed and the F-35 now costs more than that for what is basically a stealthy Buccaneer...
roll

The PAK-FA will be out soon and is a much better buy smile

I ride a fixed-gear or single-speed bicycle! tongue The rear wheel has both cogs, fixed on one side and free-wheel on the other, so whenever I get a flat it's a fifty-fifty shot at what I'll be riding next.

Why worry about a silly thing like debt, when you can bomb things out of existence?  neutral    Besides it's the American way, buy stuff and worry about paying the credit for it later!

At some point the bottom's got to drop out.  You just can't keep spending money you don't have.  OK...back on topic!

I wonder if they'll take my credit card with a few million monthly payments?

I've been following the F-35 from a Canadian point of view ... I'M NOT HAPPY! - read the 2016 stuff near the bottom...  so sad ...

Oh well, what can I expect from the land of the Avro Arrow project.  I'm still bitter about that one.  GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

Some eye-opening interview notes here about security and the Linux kernel by one of the grsecurity development team:

https://grsecurity.net/~spender/interview_notes.txt

The industry is entirely broken in terms of what it values. Bug bounties, pwn2own etc. Millions of dollars have been paid out just to fix individual bugs, but the cornerstones of modern exploit prevention created by the PaX Team have been rewarded with no money at all by the industry. It rewards what perpetuates the problem, and people looking to make money stand in line waiting for whatever new handout the industry's created for itself.
