tl;dr of that post is "IMDB's top 250 list is broken because Up places higher than Spielberg films.  And that's terrible."

One thing's for sure - the website's full of tasty clickbait.

http://www.gutenberg.org/

Discovered this yesterday. I mentioned in the book-reading thread that I'm working my way through classic books, and I'm a cheapskate too so this site is a real boon. Basically they're trying to ebook-ify as many books that are out of copyright as they can, and offer them up for free. Works perfectly on my reader.

The servant lifted off a kind of ottoman a long peacock-blue drapery, rather of the nature of a domino, on the front of which was emblazoned a large golden sun, and which was splashed here and there with flaming stars and crescents. “You’re to be dressed as Thursday, sir,” said the valet somewhat affably.

From Schw.im! A social site with an identity crisis.

There's been a long history of people bringing their camera and parking on bad corners of the Nurburgring to watch everyday drivers turn their cars into scrap.

LOVE IT!

This place may be well known, but it's new to me! Let's you practice in real time Regular Expressions. I hate hate regex, so this helps in getting into the syntax in a hands on type environment.
Another really good one that takes you through lessons:

I could benefit from this...I'm growing mine out as well... Oh and you may be interested in this:

http://www.badgerbalm.com/p-598-beard-grooming-kit.aspx

I use it about every other day...it really keeps your beard soft. I'm black and have very coarse hair, but this stuff (ignoring the goofy name) is actually really really good product.

And the balm smells really good  tongue

Haha, try it out, it's a bit pricey, but in my opinion, it's worth it.  Plus it comes with a neat, wooden comb... My thicker hair always snapped the teeth of plastic hair picks.

I usually grow mine out for hockey playoff traditions, but last year I just got too lazy to go back to shaving... so I've been growing it since   big_smile

Re: Cool Random Internet Stuff

i think i used the wrong word; i really meant trimming(*).
is trimming a part of grooming?
anyhow, the oil could be a beneficial extra.

(*) elaborating:
i don't have so much growth, i think i will never reach something like this.
letting it grow just makes it look - well, unkempt.
trimming it makes it look a little better (but never as full as shown in previous image), plus some long hairs seem to hide under the short ones and later they stick out at wrong angles...
however, searching images to describe my beard i found this which already seems to offer some help to my specific problem:
brush downwards, oil.

I will never be a proper neckbeard because I find beards to be unreasonably itchy. I will always be the Keanu Reeves 3-days growth type lol.

talking about beards ... mine is trimmed ...

This is ±25years ago:  90s.jpg

This is about 8 years ago: The_Beard.jpg but still about the same.  All white on the sides, moustache still has a trace of black.
