The servant lifted off a kind of ottoman a long peacock-blue drapery, rather of the nature of a domino, on the front of which was emblazoned a large golden sun, and which was splashed here and there with flaming stars and crescents. “You’re to be dressed as Thursday, sir,” said the valet somewhat affably.

Thank you.  Very kind of you to do the introductions.  And here I though he was just some dude in a common old black hat.

The good news is Debian distributions are supported by the Cyrus IMAP team, the bad news is nobody has written up this part of the documentation yet.

^ Cool links!  I know people in N'awlins who build bugout trailers called "foamies" out of the stuff.  (The trailer base is typically a flatbed; the foam/cloth composite is just a shell over a timber frame.)  IIRC the foamie culture prefers burlap to porch screen, but whatever works and is readily available, right?.

I was thinking the technique might be good for building walls as well.  You've confirmed my hunch that it would work.

Porn websites in the UK will be banned from showing a huge range of sex acts under proposed new law

Such restrictions include the “four-finger rule”, for instance, which limits the number of digits that can be placed into any orifice while on video.

UK legistlators just keep on giving. 2016 is really A Meme Year.

More amazed/awed than being really into it.  I haven't even tried the technique yet.  tnttt.com:  Nah...I have plenty of material to view and read on YouTube and CheapRVLiving forums.  Thanks for the last link.  I'll have to check it out.

features exclusive interviews with the creators of several historic and
highly influential programming languages. In this unique collection,
you'll learn about the processes that led to specific design decisions,
including the goals they had in mind, the trade-offs they had to make,
and how their experiences have left an impact on programming today.

If nothing else, read the Forth guy:

An operating system does absolutely nothing for you. As long as you had something — a
subroutine called disk driver, a subroutine called some kind of communication support, in
the modern world, it doesn't do anything else.

^ interesting.
unfortunately the innards are just as 2005 as the operating system - none of the models has even 3G.
as soon as one of them has 4G and can create a hotspot, i'll smash my android phone.

i don't know, here they sell one or two dumb phones in every store.
sometimes they go as granny phones, a bit bigger buttons...

is a contract really the only way to get a phone on the other side of the pond?

^ roll is right.

Since we live on a flat Earth, a compass needle will always be attracted to the center of the world, not the top of the globe.

The Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station says the people who made this video fail physics forever.  Tesla and Einstein are both rolling in their graves, and Maxwell is laughing his fat ass off.

Found this the other day: https://www.xtra-pc.com/
Looks like a scam, but what they're offering seems to be a version of Lubuntu on a USB stick, with some support, for $25. Maybe not so outrageous. They could perhaps display "Linux" a bit more prominently...
