Re: November 2018 Screenshots

this looks nice, and lookalike.
i guess you need to build up from the enlightenment theme, most of them probably either include a gtk or are made to look like a certain gtk theme.
what filemanager are you using there?
also, "DATA SLUT"? smile

Re: November 2018 Screenshots

Thanks, i use E17gtk for gtk, my flimanager here is pcmanfm and yeah "DATA SLUT" is a virtual hd that i share on all VMs. I filled it with various music/video/document formats and other stuff for testing purposes. At the time i created this disk i was under influence of alcohol (oc late night) and had some beef with a not so nice woman. Hence the name...  devil

Re: November 2018 Screenshots

Mmm I should look at Enlightenment for my new BL install planned once I get my new Intel 545s SSD for the laptop. I have an older Intel X25-M  80gb SSD I am testing on now and while it takes a while to boot due to COMRESET errors once booted up it's fast (most likely a nuisance firmware bug that will never be fixed). BL on SSD is the way to go.

Re: November 2018 Screenshots

@PackRat Pretty stable so far. Sometimes a bit slow. But i read that voids performance under vbox is not that good??
Time to free some space and do a real install...
btw nice fluxbox shot. i love the window tapping function.

@DeepDayze Unfortunately in Debian stable repos the current version of enlightenment is e17 (pretty stable) but the gap to e22 is big

My big rig has BL that has been upgraded to Sid so E22 is there. I am not sure if there are any backports of E22 to Stretch however.

Can be; I think there are some tips for vbox installs in the Void Wiki.

The upside is that Void's version of enlightenment is compiled with Wayland support if you want to check that out.

Re: November 2018 Screenshots

^excellent.
I’m sure you’ve realised, but you can also use openbox pipe menu scrips. For example, you could insert something like this anywhere in the menu:

^pipe(jgmenu_run ob --cmd=bl-place-pipemenu)

Re: November 2018 Screenshots

^^ nalm and PackRat. Developer and user, talking directly, nice.

Speaking of menus, who here likes to make dmenu menus with sh? I'm using quite a lot of dmenus, for power management, making an interface for SCT, setxkbmap so on and so forth. For a tiling-on-laptop, stacking-on-desktop i3. uwu
