openbox rocks ! Thank you PackRat smile

Not just a opinion but that's a fact! notably addy-dclxvi. Those themes stoped me in the middle my tiles transitions. After explored/used a few tiles over the years, happy to be back on Openbox.

For a single computer/laptop , Openbox(primary) or Fluxbox(secondary), or vice versa are the ideal choices.

Just removed Tint2 panel to use all Openbox features of keybinds and all mouse actions aswell.
I like the middle mouse click (menu for opened apps) also mouse wheel on pointed to titlebar for grouping windows.

Auto Decorate/Undecorate is great feature aswell from RC. I use for few apps and stuff.

Mouse wheel for switching workspaces on the middle of background, good ones.
I really had forgotten these Openbox features over the years thinking that tile WM have it all i needed.

Openbox, Conky + Compton perfect combination for me.

The only concern about Openbox: 14MB to 18MB in use.
It could have been somewhere to 9MB as Fluxbox since there is no panel, while the latter have integrated panel and is lighter.

Openbox is awesome, YES! AGREE!

manual tiling with openbox.

not much changes in my layout, mostly just themes and wallpapers...
i do not like too dark themes, nor do i like too light themes.
it is difficult to find something in between that still provides enough contrast to be usable.

Re: September 2018 Screenshots

^ i see what you did there smile
nice.
the graphs need a little more tweaking though.
i sometimes used ${goto 79} instead of ${goto 80}, you should replace that too.
and since your fonts are much larger, you should make the graps taller.
then you need to adjust the large voffsets (originally ${voffset -52} for the cpugraph).
the idea is to have the graph behind the numerical values.

Re: September 2018 Screenshots

The graphs sort of do fall behind the values, but I haven't fully figured out my colours yet.

I changed the height of the graphs but they just didn't look right, plus I quite like the smaller graphs.

I rate that desktop you created ohnonot, gave it a try myself although im using lxqt under artix linux. One question how did you change the openbox root menu to little circles instead of triangles for the categories?

Still have to sort the conky out a bit more but seems functional so far. Thanks for the inspiration.

very nice  smile

@ohnonot,
@Dobbie03

you have to limit the length of the graphs e.g.

${downspeedgraph eth0 10,50 FFFF00 FF0000}

10 = Height
50 = Length
FFFF00 = color

and instead of ${goto xx} you can align it to the right with

${alignr}${downspeedgraph eth0 10,50 FFFF00 FF0000}

Thankyou for the tip, working.

The shape ive made seems to be ok but not really cylindrical, would this be a correct shape below, im using 8 x 8 px.

Alternative desktop. More blue, less green, alternative logo, some green highlighting to the menu spacers and selected items:

Yeah it doesnt look too shabby Deepdayze, bit of a pain getting Lxqt use gtk though. Not using lxqt panel, using tint2 and jgmenu.

yes I hear you on that. As LXqt is still kinda rough there's hope that GTK app support will get more love in a future release. Bet you can theme Libreoffice to look flat like say Office 2016.

no, you don't.
if you don't specify, it runs from wherever you start it until the right edge of the conky.
what looks off in Dobbie03's scrot are the $goto's.

not sure what you're asking, but my theme is using this:

#define bullet_width 6
#define bullet_height 6
static unsigned char bullet_bits[] = {
 0x00, 0x00, 0x18, 0x18, 0x00, 0x00 };

copy to a plain text file, save as bullet.xbm.
