Hello from St. Louis

Greetings!  I recently switched to BunsenLabs as my official distro of choice.  I was recently reduced to part-time at my job that I've had for the past 12 years due to budget cuts and have decided to change careers into freelance web development.  One thing I noticed about BunsenLabs as I was installing it on both my desktop and laptop computers is that it offers you the opportunity to install a PHP and MySQL-equipped web server, which is perfect for what I'm wanting to do and thus makes BunsenLabs ideally suited for the task.  I do, however, have to confess that I cheated and added LXDE to my BunsenLabs installations, since I found that I'm more comfortable with that than pure Openbox (ducking rotten tomatoes).

I am also a former Crunchbang user from several years ago, having had the Xfce edition of Statler installed on the computers I had at the time, and I greatly enjoyed using it.  I also discovered that some GTK & Openbox themes I created a few years back still seem to work perfectly on BunsenLabs, and thus, I am also planning to add some new color variations to those themes whenever I get around to it and make them available to y'all in the appropriate section of the forums on here.

Looking forward to excellent and fun adventures with BunsenLabs! :-)

Welcome from the other side of the state.  Bunsenlabs and (baseball) Cardinals - two things that occupy my free time.

Don't worry about that. I spent years getting my openbox setup where wanted it using all sorts of scripts and config edits. LXDE is a fine option and lxpanel beats xfce4-panel out of it boots into space.

We welcome any user to our forum, whether they use BunsenLabs or not. We have a whole forum dedicated to it, "Help and Support (Other)"! Welcome!

If you have a Debian testing/unstable or other non-BunsenLabs support question, feel free to ask it here. We're a friendly bunch and welcome questions from users of all operating systems.
