Re: October 2017 Screenshot Thread

^BTW, awesome work on BL-alternatives by johnraff and everyone involved. That's Thunar set by default on my new Bunsenstein/FrankenLabs GNOME desktop, I have to explicitly run Nautilus if I want to use it.

Screenshot-from-2017-10-22-18-11-05.th.png

My volume adjustments from the keyboard make a little popping sound, and a screenshot produces a great camera whiz-click sound.

Re: October 2017 Screenshot Thread

Got some new hardware to play with, today. Asus Notebook with an i7 7700 HQ, 16 GB DDR4, and my first ever SSD! Absolutely loving it (Pretty decent dedicated GPU as well with the 950M. Not the most current, but it will do for my light/rare gaming needs).

Not much to see here. Just setting Arch up to my liking.

Coming off of five days of chemo. It has been rough, but this little machine is giving me plenty to mess around with while I recuperate. First couple days out,
I couldn't walk to the bathroom and back without feeling I was going to pass out. But I'm stronger now and probably will be until it's time for the next round. I have to admitted for five days at the hospital every three weeks until I've had my five rounds. Wish me luck, fellas. I can get through it, I know. It's just miserable in the meantime. People have been so incredibly kind and generous with their time, gifts and donations, both family and friends. I can definitely say that I have no shortage of reading material. While the testicular cancer is attacking my lungs, it is not lung cancer, and I'm eternally grateful for that. I feel I've lucky in all this. My disease is curable. Thank god. I do enjoy being able to breathe. tongue

Playing around with Solus. I'm impressed. Slick and professional. Might keep it around for a while.

Re: October 2017 Screenshot Thread

^ The polybar theme is from the latest ArchLabs release. Dobbie & company did an awesome job putting that release together.

Nice job! cool

You can add some systray stuff with sysutils/tray-app, add these lines to ~/.config/openbox/autostart:

/usr/local/libexec/tray-app/sound &
/usr/local/libexec/tray-app/battery &

I think there may be a devices thingie in /usr/local/libexec/tray-app as well.

@shep over at the daemonforums has written a nice guide for a simple, #!-esque desktop in OpenBSD:

From menu: View >Design Mode check to active then right click on the three dots click "lock movement" they'll be removed afterthis action.
Splitter will be locket too.

You have to fix the volume bar with lock movement too...

From the three dots of volume bar, move with left mouse (selected) from left to right.
More or less like this size:
IDOL5T6.png
After you have shortened for your eyesight. Click lock movement again.

Hope i am clear because I'm not so good to some explanations smile

Let me know if you achieve.

Very nice scrot as always! Cheers!

Edited two time: sorry 1 for add the volume pic, 2 because i'm too sleepy now.

Re: October 2017 Screenshot Thread

@Dobbie, is ArchLabs using zsh with grml's config now?

Nice choice cool

My Arch box:

Screenshot-from-2017-10-28-23-09-01.th.png

I have grown to like the variably-transparent panel (it turns solid black if a window is placed against it or run full screen), it's a lovely addition for 3.26
