Re: Tentative Debian Stretch Release Date - June 17

This has come sooner than I was expecting...

We've lost a few packages in the process, these will be removed: https://udd.debian.org/bugs/?release=st … ml#results

June 17th?? wow... Umm yea as J.R said that was quicker than I thought, I was thinking Sept/Oct honestly..Can't say I'm not happy, as it'll stop all of these point releases...RC's...rolling releases... that make my brain hurt.

John are those packages being removed from Stretch cumalative since Stretch froze or just a new recent round of "kills"?

Re: Tentative Debian Stretch Release Date - June 17

^They're packages with "Release-Critical" bugs, that can't/won't be fixed in time for the Stretch release. Lack of manpower, whatever. It was a choice between holding up the whole release while they got fixed, or just living without those packages. (They might possibly get added later via backports.)
