^I've been regularly listening to Ohm the last couple of weeks with no problems.
Here: http://streaming.live365.com/a92834

Is your edge2 url to be preferred?

^ streaming.live365.com/a92834 forwards to the edge2-a.exa.live365.net/a92834 stream. At least it does for me.

I just was going by the website. It was broke for a while, now it works. @johnraff, via 365 works too, thanks!

Re: What do you listen to - Internet streaming a.k.a radio and such?

Maybe it was just something on the webpage that was broken. I think I found the streaming.live link on some back page...

edge2 might be the better one to use then.

But the stream certainly hasn't been down, at least here.

I think that's what these meta streaming sites are there for: keep the actual, often changing streaming servers (often on a subdomain or non-standard ports) hidden from the end user and give them a simple static URL instead.

Is streamtuner 2 still a good app to use?

Re: What do you listen to - Internet streaming a.k.a radio and such?

I'm rather pedestrian in my radio tastes.

I am an insomniac, so listen to radio overnight. Usually talkradio, lbc or BBC London.

Talkradio on Sunday nights because I like "The unexplained.. with Howard Hughes"

I miss the old days when Clive Bull did late night Radio on LBC.

Listening right now.
Bob Marley's Natural Mystic... cool

For those who'd like to know what time it is in hhh's world, add these two lines to ~/.config/gsimplecal/config:

clock_label = Charleston
clock_tz = :US/Eastern

And click the tint2 clock.

I just use MOC for the streams discussed here.

Wait 'til you get hooked on podcasts!
Most radio shows also have a podcast feed nowadays - so much more convenient and bingeable.

I have also been listening to old Iain Lee radio shows from 2007 on the tunein Radio app.

Thanks for tuning in John, it's good to have a fan. I missed the show's broadcast, I fell asleep. tongue BTW, I thought the fade in of Natural Mystic after the fade out of the Jammin' dub was one of my better mixes. Also Hyperspace into No Diggity, which immediately followed. Thanks for noticing.

Re: What do you listen to - Internet streaming a.k.a radio and such?

^I don't think you mentioned any episode number, but there were definitely a couple of Bob Marleys in there, including Natural Mystic.

(I rather like the Jam Music show which follows too.)

^Listening now and loving this station! You never know what's going to come up next, and it's all good. cool
Stream, since this is a radio thread: https://stream.radiofrance.fr/fip/fip_hifi.m3u8
Works with mpv and radiotray-ng, at least today - there's no guarantee it's not relying on some permission I got from visiting the site in Firefox.

My coworker was playing it in the restaurant yesterday and I asked him what I was hearing. So glad I did. It's pretty French-centric, but in any given half hour you're likely to hear Sinatra, Piaf, reggae, opera or a string quartet or a Mozart piano concerto or all three, Ella, Sachmo, African-influenced-Fela-David Byrne type funk/soul, and some weird folk music. Really great radio. As I said, very eclectic. Bonus, advertisement free, and they have a phone app.

@jR, Glad you're listening!

Regarding eclectic and unpredictable... currently playing, from 2016, Europa and the bull - The Olympians

-edit- Hold up...

Has anyone made a "Who shot J.R.?" comment to johnraff on the !# or BL forums, ever? If not, I would like to start a rumour that John is dead (get it? Beatles reversal?) and that he has been replaced by a chicken/dinosaur embryo. Snopes says it's False but I'm not so sure. The fresh scar on his beak looks funny to me.
