Re: May 2016 Screenshots

Nice to hear about someone using Linux for work, and even nicer if it's BL.  smile

I've always liked that wall.  Quick question - what code are you using for weather?

${weather http://weather.noaa.gov/pu{snip} temperature}°

no need to get technical just curious.   Nice tweaks to the conky.

Re: May 2016 Screenshots

I installed weather-util and then hacked away on it for awhile (I was trying to learn sed).  64118 is my zip code

}${execi 900 weather 64118 --imperial -q | sed s/'([^)]*)'/''/g | sed "s/.\{30\}/&\n/g"

Re: May 2016 Screenshots

It's finally done. By flashing a different baseband too I got a fully working Cyanogenmod 13 OS (Android 6) on my 3-year old Samsung Galaxy Express, which essentially ran Samsung Abandonware(TM) until now. It's amazing how all those little improvements add up: Improved battery life, more fluid UI, and a ton of new functionality. With Privacy Guard and all data sharing locked down, of course.

Here's a screenshot because it's Linux too.

Careful - the geek in you is showing.  That's pretty neat what you did.

@Fog Is that plank on the left side? Is it possible to make it auto-hide?

Neat lightweight dock! I was looking for something like this...I'd like to ask a question: Where do I configure the settings? I did not see any settings file in the .config/plank folder...

man plank

Run plank and show the settings gui with

plank --preferences

I guess you create your own settings file.
