Re: Hello World!

Hello ppl!, I just discovered BL and I got so amazed that I said "why not to drop by by the forum?" (and of course ask a couple of noob questions too) smile
My point with BL is to turn it into an envioroment to keep learning programming, writte a couple of projects I got, and basic internet usage (while writting/coding there will be music of course)

well, just this for now, Thanks to all of you for doing something so neat, original, usefull and devil Dark devil ... MUAHAHAHA.

But why would you do that!?
Because Black Metal, Thats why!

Re: Hello World!

Just throwing a shoutout to everyone involved on this project:

Excellent work! I'm looking forward to many years of you guys slaving so I can have a free OS!

I mean, I am looking forward to many years of being able to use this wonderful distro and helping out when and how I can. Even if that means making mistakes others can look from.

"Oooh! Look what that idiot did! He really dorked over his system. I better not do that."

Or something.

Re: Hello World!

Hey, congrats on getting the live image up and the forums going! I randomly checked in and was so happy to see that the project is going well.

I was wondering if you thought about putting up a page on how people of various technical abilities and economic strata can chip in?.. Eg, I don't do much with the really technical Linux stuff, but I can contribute to scripts and bug reports, if need be... I also can chip in some money to run the servers, buy compiling machines, etc.

Anyways, super happy to see this thing rolling. I'll have to convert one of my Crunchbang++ machines to Bunsen just to see what's going on.

+1 and one of my concerns is developer burnout.  I've already read a comment or two about how much personal time devs are spending on this great distro.  I don't care how much you love something, eventually when you spend so much time on it, you're going to encounter burnout.

Re: Hello World!

Philip used to take longish breaks from #! development (I think) and once the full release is out maybe we'll all be able to relax a bit and play with our side-projects...

...and hope there isn't a ton of BL bugs to fix...

Re: Hello World!

Thank you for all your hard work in bringing the spirit of #! to Jessie. #! was my daily driver for many moons and I, like all here, lamented it's loss. But I am really liking what you have done... Again thank you.....!
