Hello World!

The CrunchBang #! Linux forums have been the cradle of the BunsenLabs Linux project, which is now opening its own forums here and would like to invite all current and future BL users as well as otherwise attracted folks to join us in discussing BL, Debian and Linux affairs in general.

We have also prepared a forum landscape for exchanging programs, scripts and ideas, and have again included an Off Topic forum where users are encouraged to venture into the greatest (and possibly hilarious) depths of life, the universe and everything. The titles and descriptions of the individual sections are self-explanatory.

Please, by all means, enjoy.

Hello world smile

Oooh, this is exciting! big_smile

The servant lifted off a kind of ottoman a long peacock-blue drapery, rather of the nature of a domino, on the front of which was emblazoned a large golden sun, and which was splashed here and there with flaming stars and crescents. “You’re to be dressed as Thursday, sir,” said the valet somewhat affably.

Re: Hello World!

Great! Moved here today. Haven't had a chance to try out BL yet but extremely anxious to. Reading recent #! forum posts made me wonder if Corenominal will contribute anything to this development. Would be nice. Thanks to all who made this OS take off. May it always meet and exceed Crunchy standards!

(PS - I'm one who actually likes PulseAudio in spite of its problems. Is it going to be part of BL? Kind of hoping so, but I can learn to live without it.)

(PPS - REALLY liking the look of these new forums. Lovely work, mates!)

I panicked a bit when I went to http://crunchbanglinux.org and received a Page Not Found error. Glad to see the Bunsen Labs effort continued.

Re: Hello World!

Maybe we should have a link back to the crunchbang.org/forums/ archive on our front page?  With all the other entry points to crunchbang.org redirecting here, it will be increasingly harder for people to find their way to the wealth of knowledge we have there.

@extraspecialbitter:  I was actually surprised to learn that crunchbanglinux.org was still a viable URL until Philip closed the doors at the CrunchBang forum; I had assumed that Philip would have 86'd that URL shortly after the migration from PunBB to FluxBB.

That is a very good idea pvsage. Yesterday I found two very workable configs at the crunchforums, so there were no need to ask here. smile

Re: Hello World!

I would suggest integrating CB forums as a separate subforum redirect with a name like

Research Redirect to Crunchbang Forums
