This Saturday, sip Shasta and stare at sundials.

And, whatever you do, don't be this guy.

Re: Completely Off Topic Chat

I've learned two things that made me feel like a genius this week:

1. a nail clipper is the best wire stripper ever made.

2. I can share my scanner over the network with saned smile (I have a multifunctional printer on the network with cups and  never thought about sharing the scanner on the network too)

Phew, finished with cleaning out my closet today. smile In the future I promise to throw things that there is no further use for at once when finished using it. Instead of saving it just in case...with the result that I have to clean my closet again.   neutral

Re: Completely Off Topic Chat

^ That's why I throw stuff into a box I tape up and date.  If I haven't opened the box in 6 months it's tossed, unopened!

Most times I have no idea what's in there.  YEARS ago I use to open the box out of curiosity - "Noooooo I can toss that!"
Result: closet gets full again ... until I fill a new box and date it.

DON'T OPEN IT! JUST TOSS IT! What's in there was put there for a reason.

If it would stop a random bullet from gun-crazed psychos, it should become a new fashion statement. Every American University student should be issued one at the start of school.

^ Not to mention all the old tech junk that I have stashed that will never again see the light of day. I've got a 3.5" 40G hard drive in one of my closets.

Re: Completely Off Topic Chat

Yesterday I threw out 2 hdd's--a 1.6-GB and a 2-GB, along with an old Memorex external CD-ROM that sounded like a 747 taking off, when it was working. Felt good to clear some of the musty storage space around here!

Is there really anything more annoying and irritating than when your web browser goes slow on you when you are in a hurry and have to do a check of something important?

Yes, doing laundry and changing your bed when the family are on holiday.. only to find they've taken all the spare pillow and duvet cases with them...

Rhode Island, no never. But isn't it weird how totally small things can make you go from calm and balanced to steaming fury rage? It is just what ticks you off that varies from person to person.
